SOMEWHERE IN THE USA, TAY SWIFT IS NOT TWERKING

Today Taylor Swift released her new single and the name of her new album "1989" to the world. I don't really sit at home and listen to Taylor Swift on repeat, but every time one of her songs plays on the radio I do find myself tapping my foot along with it, and "Shake It Off" had both feet going. By the second listen, I was singing the song like I had heard it a billion times before (Sidenote: I have a tendency to think I know the words to every song ever out there the minute it plays on the radio. Ask any of my friends).

Swift is not one to be shy and share with her fans her feelings that go along with her life, so it is no surprise that she is sharing her thoughts about not caring about what people think of her. She references how people talk about her love life (Remember when she dated Harry Styles from 1D? Sue me! I teach 4th and 5th graders!) and as the song goes,
"But I keep cruising, can’t stop, won’t stop moving. It’s like I got this music in my mind, saying it’s gonna be alright, cuz the players gonna play, and the haters gonna hate. Baby I’m just gonna shake shake shake shake shake, Shake it off"
It may not be the deepest message, but it is clear all the same and the up-beat music does help! I think it's a great tune to blast out your car radio on your way to the last night BBQ on the beach! So girls enjoy the end of summer and remember to just SHAKE IT OFF!

Talk to you soon,
