On Sunday as we were preparing for yet another snowstorm, I was also getting ready to get a new member to my household. I was really sad to leave my Fricky (my beautiful orange tabby) behind with my parents but it made the most sense since she is now more of an outdoor cat (plus even though they might not want to admit it, but my parents have gotten pretty attached to the little guy) and I did not realize how much of an impact it had on my until I moved to Boston. I have been going back and forth with whether or not I should get another cat. Finally, I decided for my own sanity that I do...this is how I found Billie Holiday (I changed her was originally Baby Ruth and I was not feeling it so much). She has been a joy and since she is till adjusting I am being very patient with her. She is very loving and would love to be petted all day if she could.

I also am excited because I recent joined the Boston American Rescue League Young Professional Group, which I am happy to help out any way that I can. If you are looking to get a pet always check with your local shelters first and help out those animals in need!

Isn't she adorable...
